Viajero Azul
En esta obra quise capturar el espíritu de la iguana, una criatura que se siente tanto ancestral como mística, llena de una sabiduría silenciosa. Los colores vibrantes reflejan la energía intensa del trópico: el sol, la tierra y toda la vida que lo rodea. Blue Wanderer fue creada utilizando hojas reales que recogí del suelo en las instalaciones de Bali 2 Residence, cuidadosamente acomodadas y pintadas con aerosol sobre un panel de madera. Cada hoja utilizada para crear las siluetas ya había caído al suelo; no se tomó nada vivo.
La pintura está inspirada en las iguanas que solía ver descansando junto a la alberca en San Remo Privada, cuya presencia tranquila y colores llamativos dejaron una impresión duradera. Para mí, esta pieza es un homenaje a la selva, a escuchar sus historias y a darle nueva vida a lo que ha caído de manera natural.
Blue Wanderer
In this piece, I wanted to capture the spirit of the iguana—a creature that feels both ancient and mystical, full of quiet wisdom. The vibrant colors reflect the intense energy of the tropics: the sun, the earth, the life all around. Blue Wanderer was created using real leaves I picked up from the premises of Bali 2 Residence, carefully arranged and spray painted onto a wood panel. Every leaf I used to create the silhouettes was already on the ground; nothing was taken live.
The painting was inspired by the iguanas I often saw lounging next to the pool in San Remo Privada, their calm presence and striking colors leaving a lasting impression. For me, this piece is about honoring the jungle, listening to its stories, and giving new life to what has naturally fallen.
