A powerful spiritual symbol in Buddhism. A flower having its roots in mud, but growing to be the most beautiful flower despite its origins. It symbolizes how we too can overcome obstacles on our journey towards enlightenment.
I was inspired to draw this flower while taking a Buddhism online course during COVID-19. Many things I did during the lockdown have inspired me to create and share my art with others.
This drawing was my experiment working with airbrushes. The process was confusing, frustrating. But it was the time when an experiment led to a pleasant result.
These are the series of floral drawings and gifs I have been creating using Procreate and sharing on Instagram during the lockdown. Not only creating them helped me to stay grounded and positive, I have received many messages from friends expressing that my work has a very calming effect, it puts a smile on their face, it inspires them to create. Such feedback gave me motivation to stay positive and productive during these days. More of the drawings and the process work could be found on my Instagram page.
