Journey Up
This illustration is one out of ten of my Thesis works created during my final year at OCAD University. My thesis Life Between Lives explored the idea of afterlife and journey of souls between reincarnations to question frightful beliefs about death and afterlife.
In this illustration I was inspired by the concept that a soul enters a tunnel of light after it leaves the body and is moving to afterlife world. My work imagines the situation where souls are stuck on Earth waiting for the light that will lead them to afterlife world, but are forced to find an alternative way to get there due to the world’s crisis and the major power outage.
